After a trip to the hardware store to get small bolts/nuts for the support brackets (the ones shipped did not fit) and some dialogue with my wife trying to figure out exactly how to put it together (instructions were useless), I’ve got a great surf board carrier for my bike.

The straps are too short for my windsurf board. So I have to use an other strap.

Excellent rack but I wish it would be a slightly larger to hold another board. So easy to install and easy to mount and remove the board. Thanks Thule.

I bought this surfboard holder in hopes of having a quick way to easily rack my board on the car. After using it about 20 times, the plastic clasps on the straps broke. But, I continued to use the rubber feet that hold the board with some standard surfboard straps. Unfortunately, these rubber feet don’t stay in place. Even with the screws cranked down tight, I can move the rubber feet with my hands (and I’m a girl, not some beefy guy!). I just don’t feel that my board is secure on this rack and have returned to a more traditional setup (foam roller pads on the bars with a standard surfboard strap).

These are amazing. Never had a problem. They stay secure and haven’t scratched my car yet

My wife ordered this for me for our anniversary and it works perfect. I just strap my board on and go. Assembly was pretty easy and it worked well with my beach cruiser. She looked at local surf shops and amazon had the best deal, including shpping. Anyone who surfs should be stoked with this product! We would definitely purchase these again for anyone looking to cruise to the beach on their bike and not have to stress with parking your car, paying to get on the beach, etc. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

you don’t even know you’re towing a board. I ride 5 miles one way to the beach, and it’s perfect.

I prefer them too the racks that you mount behind the bike, which tend to leave marks on your board from cinching it up to tight or grinding the tail off. I’ve had these for 2 months now and they have left no marks on my board and no tail grinding. :D

The one con is, no matter how tight I get my set post, the weight and wind from rack and board will turn my set/post. Easy enough to fix while stopped, but a PIA while riding. It doesn’t happen enough to be a real pain.

I put this rack on my beach cruiser to tranport my bodyboard from my house to the beach which is a 25-30 bike ride from where i live. The only negative thing about the rack is that tightening the screws on the holding arms take quite a bit of effort to tighten to the point where they’re very stable. With that setback during installation, the rack is very sturdy and adjustable to your liking.Great buy!

This rack is great. It fits my bike well and adjusts easily. I’ve carried everything from a 6′2″ board to a 7′1″ board on it with no problems. The board does bounce a bit when going over bumpy dirt paths so I usually just reach down and hold it with my hand for a short time so it doesn’t bang. It is so nice to have my arm freed up from carrying my board!

I’ve been using this rack system here on North Shore for almost six years. In those six years I’ve put many many many miles on my bicycles and on this rack system. I’ve actually got a rack on each bike that I own and none have failed.

Aside from transporting my surfboards up and down North Shore, I’ve used my CSR to transport wood and lumber, as well as it secures my heavy tripod for my camera quite well. Also if you set your boards in just right, you can fit two short boards in it without damaging anything. Trust me!
