Surfboard 5′4 epoxy fish quad fin to short?
Hey so ive been surfing for 4 and a half years, but been paying tons of attention to it for the past 8 months. I learned how to ride on a 5′11 dan taylor thruster (i got when i was 9), and it just gave out on me and snapped a few weeks ago. A friend Epoxy Quad surfboards of mine gave me a trashy 6′4 thruster to use for the time being. Its just a a boring board, to say the least. I really want a quad fin. Ive been looking for a while now, and finally found something thats the right price and catches my eye. Its a 5-4 x 19 ½ x 2 Estrada Epoxy Quad Fin…thing looks great. Just wondering, is this a big enough board? I took into account that its epoxy, and pretty wide. Feedback would be great thanks, btw im 5′11, 140 pounds. I would say i am an intermediate surfer. (cutbacks, floaters, spraying is where im at…no air..yet:) Thanks!
