First, let’s get the semantics out of the way. I ordered the boat with Prime shipping and it STILL came a day early – and this is a pretty large package. Thanks Amazon! Now, the fun stuff! This boat was FANTASTIC. It is my first kayak, and I wasn’t planning on loving it right from the start. I couldn’t wait to put it in, and even after fumbling around with the foot pump trying to find the right valve attachment, I was on the water in 15 minutes! When I finished, I decided to only deflate the outer chamber and one other chamber. I was able to fold it in three, slide it into the back of my Toyota Matrix, and STILL see out the back window when driving. My friend was still putting his kayak on the roof rack when I was finished! I walked over casually to help him tie it down. Ha!The water started out calm, but from out of NOWHERE a storm hit. We were in the middle of the James River and suddenly the wind was blowing like crazy. I was really worried about being blown around like

Bought this raft last year and used it several times during last summer. My two kids enjoyed spending time in the lake on this raft. I’ve a Motorguide Trolling motor w/Marine Battery and it lasts for several hours! Looking forward to taking the kids to the lake this summer. It’s not easy to inflate this raft with the manual pump it comes with. Get a rechargeable Coleman Airpump and you can get going in under 20 minutes. It’s relatively cheap and environmentally friendly way of cruising in the lake.

i order this item from 7th avenue store and it was amazing the service. i order it at 3 pm on a wednesday expected delivery time was on tuesday. my surprise was that I received it a day later i place my order. I received it on thursday afternoon!!!!!!!!! the only thing is that you need to get a better pump because the manual pump is not suitable to air this great boat. specially if u are in a rush and crazy to go out and use it!

it looks very good spacious havent tested it i got it today ! this is the very first review i actually write cuz i was totally impressed. i suggest you if u wanna buy a boat to get this one because it not cheap nor to expensive and hopefully last long as it looks like.

This boat came with a hole upon receiving. No problem we thought….Everytime we took the boat out fishing, three more holes came to the party. Currently, we are in our 2nd month of fishing and we have accumulated 18 holes. The holes seem to be at the seams, which is not easy to create a solid patch. We have to purchase glue each week, and repair our already repaired holes. We have never written a comment about anything, never had a reason until now. We are giving the raft away at our next white elephant party and are currently shopping for a new raft.

look’s like it will do the trick for floating down spring river in arkansas just fine. well equipped with built in rod holder’s and seat’s that fasten down to keep them fom shifting around on you. only took about 10 min’s with a low velocity air pump to inflate and mine has been inflated for over 2 week’s now just to check for leak’s and to see how big it really was. well worth the price especially concidering how much it cost’s just to rent a raft for a one day float, about the same as the price of this one, and i plan on using mine for at least 9-10 day’s every day.

I think this is a great boat for the money. We are really looking forward to using it at a small lake near us this summer. It is just right for one adult and a small child to zip around the lake. I love the fact that the oars are included and the boat color stands out amoung the rest in the water. For the amount of time we will be using this boat the price is perfect. Very happy with this purchase !

you get what you pay for here. single chamber, thin plastic, and a small valve. consider it a pool toy and not a lake toy.

about a week ago I was at a local small resivoir and i saw a bunch of kids a little younger than me having awesome fun in these little boats so i hsowed my parrents and got one the next day these little rafts are great!! I am 14 and even i could paddle it all the way across this 1 mile lake. so if your just looking for a coo lnew pool toy or a awesome little boat then youve found it!! I say if you like water and boats then get one ant it is only $20.00 bucks if you dont like it (if that is possible) so what it is $20.00
it is allso educational because you have to learn how to paddle with Wind, and waves safely

We had one of these when my son was little…it held up for a whole summer tubing down the creek before it got a hole in it. Purchased one just recently for my daughter to use the same way. It got a whole in it the first trip down the creek. I don’t think they are made as well as they used to be. This would be a great toy for the pool but isn’t so great for our use.

I bought this bed in November, and opened it for the first time yesterday in preparation to go camping. I immediately noticed that there was not stop for air pressure to remain within the bed. So, when inflating with the pump and taking it out, about 10-20% of the air would escape. Not good for comfort or quality! I shook the bed all around for about 45 minutes and found the cheap plastic valve closer bouncing around inside. Finally, figured out how to get it out. I installed it back into the opening.

Then, I was very cautious putting the pump back in and the darn thing popped out of one of the hinges again, thus not allowing air pressure to stop leaking out. For the amount of beds, aerobed sells, I am shocked at the low quality / poor design of their most important mechanical part in the bed, the air release hinge. I bought a Coleman bed, for 1/4 the price and it is far superior in design.

Unfortunately, I waited too long to open it and now I have a $80 piece of plastic. Never will buy an Aerobed again. I think there is a reason why Walmart and other companies refuse to return airbeds after much time at all, they break!

We need a good airbed to be manufactured.

This was ordered to replace a twin aerobed that had gotten a hole in it. Previously, I had several aerobeds to use for guests and they all had an integrated pump – just plug it in and press a button. This twin came with a separate pump which was hard to use to get the right firmness. Also, since the pump is a separate piece, it can be separated from the mattress. The bed is nice for a twin spare, but if there is a choice, I would always buy the integrated pump.

About 10 years ago I purchased my first Aerobed and loved it. I took it camping, took it too Hawaii as a spare bed, my son used it in his dorm for a while and I used it as a guest bed numerous times. It was heavy, a bit smelly but worked as advertised. I have probably used it over 100 times without incident. So I decided to order another Aerobed since they were 54% off on Amazon.com. When I recieved the new one I immediatly noticed that it was a lot lighter than the old one. When I filled it with air I also noticed that the material felt softer than the old one and the new one has a fuzzy surface while the old one was just plain plastic. I had some company in town for about two weeks so they started sleeping on the new one. Within a week of sleeping on the Aerobed that was put on a carpeted surface it sprung a leak. We spent over an hour trying to find the leak and couldn’t. We finally sprayed it with some soapy water and after another hour found a pin hole size hole on one of the seams. The patches supplied with the Aerobed are useless because they do not stick to the fuzzy surface. I pulled out the old Aerobed and they enjoyed the rest of their stay on the old bed without any incident.

Obviously Aerobed is now making an inferior quality product made of a thinner material that is not as durable as it used to be. I figured that the old bed weighed about 2 – 3 pounds more than the same size new one. Considering the price paid, I was very dissappointed and will show more respect for my old Aerobed hoping that it lasts much longer.Aerobed Guest Choice Twin Inflatable Bed

My spouse and I have relied for years on Aerobeds with built-in pumps. But when I bought a twin-size Aerobed with separate pump for my studio apartment while on an extended business trip, I had a very unpleasant experience until my house guest showed me what I’d done wrong.

The fault lies with Aerobed’s instructions for inflating the bed, which contain at least two crucial errors.

Here is what they inform us to do:
“3. Open lower protective cap on valve by turning counter-clockwise. Attach universal adapter to pump inflation port by pushing until it locks into the end. Press the smaller end of adapter into mouth of valve, then turn pump to ‘on’ position.”

Here is what they SHOULD have told us to do:
“3. Open *upper* protective cap on valve by turning counter-clockwise. Attach *bottom adapter of three-tiered universal adapter* to pump inflation port. . .”

I hope this helps some of you out there who are as technologically challenged as I am! Shame on Aerobed for trying to save money by using the same instructions in several different models, and leaving consumers confused and upset, especially by making the return process so frustrating when in reality your own faulty instructions are to blame for the beds not working.

Eng March 27, 2010 at 1:23 pm

I received it with a cut.. so i patched it (patching kit was included).. and all was fine..

Takes a lot of effort to pump the thing with the manual pump that came with it.. but it works!

Oars r cheap quality.. but i’m not a pro.. so may be i just didn’t use then right..

The boat itself is really good though!

The description says 3 persons.. but i’d say 2 if u want to enjoy and relax..

This product the Caravelle 300 looks great, but compared to similar sized INTEX inflatable, it falls short. Neither has TWO Boston Valves, one for each main hull cell, as larger models do. They should have two. Sevylor has thinner vinyl. 16 gauge vs 22-23 for Intex. And moreso, the main seam around the hull looks weaker. The Intex has a major 1/4 inch wide weld all around the hull perimeter. Sevylor has only a 1/16 inch weld bead around the hull. May be adequate but why take the chance? And the 200 series is fine for an adult and 1 child, but not two adults. The 300 is minimum size for two adults.

Furlong March 28, 2010 at 1:17 pm

excellent product – boat is really awesome with many chambers – seats 2 adults comfortably. Paddles cracked after 2 outings.

Hand pump is virtually useless.

Huey March 29, 2010 at 1:12 am

The pump is so flimsy that the rubbery-plastic parts lost their seal and let all the air escape on the very first use. I sealed them back together with super-glue, but given the cheap construction I’m sure that it will come apart again next time.

Worse yet, the oars are quite useless outside a backyard swimming pool. After every stroke they must be re-tightened to stay together (the cheap, plastic pieces of tubing screw into each other) and within 30 minutes they had cracked.

The boat itself, however, is quite nice and works just fine for two adults or three children.

We highly recommend this Kayak. We purchased the 2 person. It is fun, stable and easy to manuver. We were on “staycation” and wanted something fun to do all week. We bought this to play in our local lake. It was all we wanted and more. You can even slip off into the lake to cool down and get back in without tipping. Great product Coleman – Thanks! you made our vacation fun.

Gore March 30, 2010 at 1:37 am

just ordered a 2nd one. It was a great time a the beach. It really is just for close to shore but certainly cheap enough and quite sturdy. The oars aren’t very good and with strong current, we bent them. Will need to get new oars. But boat was great and can deflate and then inflate at site and ready to go. Can fit into small car. Love them. Lot’s of fun! Really comfy to sit in. But you will get wet!!! Only ohter concern. Not real place to latch on a cord. Weput it on the net in front, butnot very sturdy and oar holder is useless. Wish there was a good grip for carrying too. But for the price, you can not go wrong.

DeCastro March 30, 2010 at 1:37 pm

I bought this just recently and so far so good – no leaks or blow outs – but I know this happens to such products like airbeds, so I don’t much expect durability, etc. But the build quality of this looks and feels well made. I got this so I can have extra seating in a small room/area and also found its good to inflate if you want to use it when having pizza night in front of the TV because it can handle a spill (stain proof – cleans up with soap and water). So for under $30 it is a great buy. It handled two average people’s weight well so far.

My 6 and 4 year old share a room with bunk beds. I ordered this inflatable sofa as an inexpensive seating solution for reading time before bed. It inflates quickly with an electric pump (which I had already) and is actually quite comfortable for 1 adult and two children. I don’t see how it can be inflated without an electric pump – the fill valve won’t work so well with lips & lungs. Because it is pvc or latex (or whatever it’s made of) it smelled of plastic (off-gassing?) so I don’t want to leave it in their room at night until the smell dissipates. It is made by Intex, famous for their inflatable pools and pool toys, so it’s no surprise that it smells like a new beach ball. But it’s full of air! So easy to move to another room. It certainly couldn’t be beat for the price as a real sofa would have easily cost 6-10 times as much. I can’t comment on its durability as I’ve had it for less than a week.
